The server currently runs Minecraft in one of two modes depending on circumstances:
Vanilla – Minecraft as plain as it gets! We only really use this for testing things out when things break (*cough*).
Bukkit – Support for the Bukkit Minecraft server mod.
We no longer use the Canary mod as there are hardly any plugins available that we need.

The server was salvaged from a client that Mike was working for a while back and he thought "I could make a Minecraft server with this…" and that’s where it all started!
